Our address is 2980 Riverbend Road, Nanaimo, BC. We are located in Cassidy, which is halfway between Nanaimo and Ladysmith approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Victoria.

From the South:
Approximately 10 minutes from Ladysmith you'll pass the Nanaimo airport on your right. You'll then go over a small green bridge (Haslam Creek Bridge) and will see Spruston Road on your left. There is no left turn allowed, so you'll have to go north past Spruston Road, and once you go over the Nanaimo River bridge there is a small right hand turn lane (Nanaimo River Road). Take it; you'll loop around and then go up a hill; take a sharp left at the top of the hill (before the railroad tracks) and it will take you back down to the Island Highway. "Yield" southbound (it is not a "merge") onto the Island Highway, and then turn right onto Spruston Road (there's a flashing overhead amber light) - it's the first righhand turn once you pass the Country Kitchen Restaurant on the left.
Once you're on Spruston Road go approximately 1 kilometre (.6 mile) until you see Riverbend Road on your right. Turn right onto Riverbend then take the 1st right-hand driveway, just past our sign. Then keep to your right, and drive down our long gravel driveway. Do not turn right at the top, into our neighbours. At the bottom of the driveway you'll see the River House (blue roof) on your right. Our house is on the left - you'll see it when you drive down the hill.
From the North:
Approximately 6 minutes from the Duke Point ferry turn-off on the TransCanada Highway, you'll pass the Country Kitchen Restaurant on your left. Take the next right-hand turn (there's a flashing overhead amber light) ; you'll be on Spruston Road. Go approximately 1 kilometre (.6 mile) until you see Riverbend Road on your right. Turn right onto Riverbend then take the 1st right-hand driveway. just past our sign. Then keep to your right, and drive down our long gravel driveway. Do not turn right at the top, into our neighbours. At the bottom of the driveway you'll see the River House (blue roof) on your right. Our house is on the left - you'll see it when you drive down the hill.
Note: If you're coming from the Duke Point Ferry (10 minutes from us), follow the signs "to Victoria" and once you're on the TransCanada Hwy, follow the "From the North" instructions above. If coming from Departure Bay, you'll also follow the signs to Victoria (10 to 15 minutes from us).
Another Note: If you "google earth" our address, you won't get a sense of the oasis down our long driveway. It only shows our driveway access in a clearly rural area (so don't be frightened!). Plus, we have so many trees around the River House you can't see it from the aerial view. Some recent guests suggested I include this information!!
